It appears that Vivek is one of seven finalists in a bid to purchase the Ottawa Senators.

But - don't expect hockey in Sacramento, it seems that the deal will be contingent on the owner keeping the team in Ottawa.

I know a lot of people still feel he is a cheap owner, so would owning a second team in another league impact his willingness to spend?

I can’t say that I recall Vivek being labeled cheap? I remember the Luke staffing issue. What else is out there?

As far as his bid to own another franchise, I guess the question is why? He is no spring chicken and has a couple billion dollar team to pass down to his kids. Nothing is ever enough for these guys.
