Kings trade rumor SZN 2023-2024 edition!

IMO, that is a lineup that would challenge Denver for the Western conference crown.

Kings trade rumor SZN 2023-2024 edition!

It would be a (wink-wink) package deal of Bronny and LeBron for the #13 pick, otherwise of course no Bronny at #13. And if LeBron falls through, I'm sure the Lakers would give up some nice assets (Vanderbilt or Rui plus a couple of future 1st?) to get Bronny to the Lakers to keep LeBron happy.

Kings trade rumor SZN 2023-2024 edition!

True, but you know the Lakers will try to draft Bronny before the Kings 2nd round pick, so that LeBron stays with them.

Kings trade rumor SZN 2023-2024 edition!

The Lakers are a mess and just fired their coach Darvin Ham and LeBron does not seem happy with the situation in LaLaLand. Maybe the Kings can draft Bronny James at #13 and lure LeBron to Sacramento to reunite with Bronny and Mike Brown! If LeBron wants to play with Bronny bad enough, maybe we...

    Following Potential *2024* Draftees

Yeah, I think Monte would need some offensive skills to pick someone in the lottery, but he could go defense in the 2nd round.

[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

This is the same Mike Brown the Lakers ran out of town years ago. The LA fans and organization never embraced the down to earth personality of MB the first time, what makes them think anything would be different. The LA fan base needs a flashy coach, they would never embrace MB. I would hope...

Kings trade rumor SZN 2023-2024 edition!

Talent evaluation and good drafting for GMs of small market teams is essential for success. We are not going to be able to lure big name free agents and would have to mortgage the future to try and trade for a big name (who may not even stay after their contract expires). Monte has shown he can...

    [NBA] East Playoffs, Round One

Well at least Buddy didn't make it out of the first round before D'Aaron and the Kings...... There is some semblance of cosmic order and justice! :p

    [NBA] East Playoffs, Round One

Pacers are lucky they played Milwaukee with their superstar out and their other top 2 players Out or hobbled. Giannis is lucky he won the one title. He is constantly injured and never mans up to play in playoff games when injured. Dude has continually left his team out to fend for themselves...

    KING IN ARABIC

What Monk brings to the table can’t be underestimated and can’t be easily replaced. In a word, he gave the Kings “Swag”. He gave the Kings toughness and fearlessness when the rest of the team was just soft. He was the one player that if the Kings got smashed in the mouth, he would smash back and...

Yeah, that was some of the questionable rotations from MB that I was talking about. There was plenty of times when Fox or Huerter was injured and MB never put Monk in the starting line up, which would had been the natural thing to do for most coaches. It would had been good to see Monk tried in...

I'm not sure if it's being bi-polar or the fact that our option would be starting Monk or losing him for nothing in unrestricted free agency. Which may be what it comes down to, if a team likes Orlando offers Monk more money and a starting job on a playoff caliber team. Our wildcard is offering...

The problem with Domas is that the center is supposed to be your defensive anchor and the last line of defense and he clearly is not. If the Kings ever want to become anything else besides a fringe playoff team, they will need to shore up the defense in the middle with someone bigger and longer...

He played the 4 and 5 in Indiana next to Myles Turner and was an All-Star. But for Domas to play the 4 here, he would need to shoot more 3s, which he is capable (37.9% on 3 pointers), but reluctant. The other option would be to get a 3 and D 4 to fill in opposite Domas.

Domas has actually played both PF and Center and is listed as a Power Forward.

That sounds more like a Domas problem than a Monk problem. Domas is a big boy and he is being paid like an elite big man. Domas needs to put on his big boy pants and shot 3-4 3s per game for the betterment of the team and the roster construction. If Domas can do that, we could draft a defensive...

Yes, one would hope. But this is a business and I wouldn't fault him for taking more money and a starting job elsewhere. Here is the thing, if Monk sacrificed and stayed a 6th man for the Kings, his next contract would also be limited and curtailed because he would be locked into a "6th Man"...

I would think that any free agent negotiations with your own free agent would include input from the coach. I'm sure if Monte offered a shot at the starting spot to Monk with the hopes of re-signing one of his best players, I would think MB would have to give his blessings. It's not as though...

    KING IN ARABIC

Yes, but he is an unrestricted free agent and he does not need to accept that role anymore. He sacrificed for the team and embraced the role. IMO MB was far too rigid with his rotation and didn't even give him the chance to start when the other guards were injured. For most teams, the 6th man...

IMO Monk is the one player with a "fearless- take no prisoners attitudes" that helps fire up the other guys when he is out there. He is not perfect, but when he is in the game, you can feel the confidence and attitude level ratchet up for the team. It would be very difficult to replace that fire...
