I'm not gonna argue strategy or anything else. I'm proud of how they played and this is a loss I can certainly live with.

JaKarr Sampson just might have a better future than some of us might have envisioned. :)

I'd rather have Jakaar than Malachi Richardson. Reminder: Jakaar is only 24 years old, same age as Willie and Buddy, younger than Bogi.

Missed f/t's and missed wide open shots are why we lost but that stupid substitution at the end sure didn't help. I'd love to hear why joeger did that.

It's JaKarr. I think we need to get it right because I have the strong feeling we're gonna be seeing a lot more of him.

I thought George Hill looked like he was finally tuned into the game. And I continue to be pleasantly surprised about Frank Mason.

His defense and rebounding alone were on point. The athletic dunks and tips were just gravy. Small sample size not withstanding , he looked comfortable and played well.

Lebron James is why we lost.

Lot of positives for a rebuilding team if you're a Kings fan

I couldn't remember how old he is. Looks like he could be a valuable bench guy. Tough hard nosed defense, excellent rebounder

We have Bogi, Buddy and Justin Jackson who are clearly better players/prospects than Malachi, plus vets in Temple and Hill. Id rather use a late roster spot on a guy like JaKaar who does thing no other player on this roster can do.

I'm worried about Fox. Anytime he's on the floor, he's extremely passive. Cavs didn't have a PG to bully him, but he looked physically outmatched at times. In this game, he ended up with 29mins 6pts 2asts 1reb 1blk 4tos.

Mason has outplayed Fox by a lot. Mason has his own flaws, but he was extremely impressive tonight. 15pts on 4-6. He would've had a couple more points if not for missed FTs. oh, and he did it all in 19mins.

Samspon played a great game. He couldn't stop Lebron, but he did his best to slow him down. Amazing energy on the boards..something we haven't had in a while. Added a few nice energy throw downs.

Buddy played a good game all around. Did a good job scoring and finding teammates. Loose ball handling, but it was a good game from Buddy. 17pts on great efficiency. 3pt % is skewed by 2 heaves.

Don't be misled by Bogdan's rough shooting. He played a good game on both ends too. Did a good job moving the ball and solid job on D.

Not too much to write about in this game. Bench continues to outplay the starters.

Looks like we have our guy to guard boogie.
I have $20 on Sampson getting boogie ejected by halftime.

how many times have the Kings beat a team LeBron has played in over his 15 year career?

While I don't disagree with anything you've said, I'm not worried ... yet. I think we're seeing the typical rookie roller coaster effect. I'd like to see more of Fox, Mason and Bogs on the court together. I just feel the combination of strength, speed and court awareness could be interesting.

I remember when Sampson played for Philly and he kept swatting and jumping all over Cousins, making him furious. I'd like to see that same approach, hack him until kingdom come, pester him and maybe he will have an off game in return.

I honestly don't know. I think we may have beat them last year (I thought Grant said something about it), but all I know is I've never expected us to beat the Cavalier...or the Heat...when LBJ is on the court. I was there in Arco for his first game and as good as he looks on TV he is all that more impressive in real life.

I wish he was a tad younger so I could look at him as young talent.. but a solid looking role player nonetheless

Yeah I understood, was just adding to my point. The way two way contracts work is the players can only be with the NBA team for a maximum of 45 days. I'd rather keep JaKaar as a roster player than keep a guy like Malachi around, who does nothing other guys we play do better.

I'm curious to see what team he has dominated over his entire career more than the Kings, I honestly remember only two wins versus LeBron but maybe I'm missing some. If it isn't the Kings, what other team has he dominated to this capacity for a decade and a half?

I mean there was a time when 24 years old was only a year or two out of college. We're so used to 19 year old rookies that 24 sounds old. 24 is still very young, especially for a journeymen guy trying to find his place. Ask Garret Temple.

Watching Kayte interview Vince Carter after the game, I am even more grateful to Vlade for bringing him to the Kings. Our younger players are gonna learn stuff from him that will serve them well their entire careers.

Looks like the Kings have found their junkyard dog in Sampson, and I mean that as a compliment. WCS is going to have some competition for minutes when he gets back. When was the last time WCS got 16 rebounds? And have you ever heard Joerger say this about WCS after a game: "I think he played great....I thought he fought like crazy"?

Hield really hurt the Kings with at least three terrible turnovers in this game. Man, he just frustrates (and scares) the heck out of me with his dribbling. If he's dribbling the ball and the opposing guard "turns him," he's a sitting duck most of the time to get picked. If he doesn't get picked, the opposing team just hasn't studied the scouting report on him.

If you really believe that Hill has his head in the game, watch the last minute of this game with the 24-second clock running down when instead of taking the open shot, he throws to Sampson at the 3 point line! If Fox or Hield did something like that, I could understand it because of their inexperience. But from your experienced vet, no way! By the way, that mistake by Hill mirrored what he did in the opening minute of the game when he turned down a wiiiiiiiiide open shot to pass it to a guy who was covered. The guy just isn't into it.

While that was definitely a brain fart, I did see him more involved for longer portions of time. So, at least he was partially engaged. :)

    Here's another take about Mason:

    Kayte Christensen‏Verified account@kayte_c 1h1 hour ago

Frank Mason III is like a friggin’ Mack Truck going through the lane. It doesn’t matter who’s on the inside, he does NOT care and he almost always scores or gets to the line. THAT is a true talent

Don't forget that the Kings were one of the best teams in the league when LeBron started his career.
