Giants have been underwhelming but it’s a long season.
Wilmer has regressed from his breakout last season.
Several hitters are ice cold to start the season.
Pen is not a lockdown pen although some guys are starting to emerge a little
Really nothing to say on Bob Melvin except I hated the straight steal with JH Lee yesterday down one. Moreno is a tough guy to steal on.

First bullpen game of the season results in a deserved shellacking.

Hopefully there is a starter in this spot next time around. Even if it’s that guy who got destroyed in his first start in San Diego and then disappeared

Giants keep turning to Hjelle periodically over the last year or 2 and he just doesn’t deliver. Not even a glimpse of what he could be up at the MLB level. The young long relievers for SF aren’t helping themselves during these opportunities

It’s the A’s so obviously people aren’t paying attention for a variety of different reasons but Mason Miller has the most electric arm in baseball by a wide margin. Going to look good closing games out at Sutter Health Park.
Everything going to look good at SHP, including Mason Miller consistent 100+ mile per hour heater. And "A's" might be in Sac much longer than anyone imagined - beyond 3 years with 4th year option. How 'bout forever as Vegas deal could definitely collapse !!

Giants need to bring up some guys. Not to help turn this into a winning season but to have something to watch for. Worst is being sub .500 with all these vets on short term deals. It almost makes me not even want to watch as there is little current or future with this current lineup.

Agreed. The thing is, there are players there who could help a bit but while they are getting experience, they will blossom at some point.
Matos and Wade Meckler platoon in OF makes them much more athletic and younger
At some point, we should see Mason Black and Carson Whisenhunt starting games On the bump.
Marco Luciano maybe later in the year at the half way point

The 2 pitchers I listed are legit arms to get excited about.

Look at Fitzgerald. He’s had some good moments this year.

Matt Chapman is just Not very good right now
Nope. Even his glove has been more suspect than I was expecting.

This lineup sucks and they are going to keep sucking. No way around it. The rotation isn’t going to get healthy in time.

Ramos is playing pretty well in Sacramento. I know he isn’t in his 30’s and he is hitting near .300 for good power but most teams would think that was a good thing and worth another look.
