[Game] Kings @ Denver Nuggets, 2/14/2024, 6:00p PT/9:00p ET

I only watched 2nd half but Fox was fantastic. This is the guy we need for the rest of the season. If this is the Fox we get night in night out we can and will finish top 6.
Agreed. Mavs and Suns have been just as up and down as anyone else, though they’re trending in the right direction. We absolutely can be top 6 and i believe the Kings will be if they play the way they have (overall) since all of these road games began. If they can bring this intensity and focus into the Golden 1 Center with the fans we have, we’ll really be cooking with hot grease.

Massive win. Back to back Kings in Denver altitude seemed like a sure loss but they got it done.

That was probably the worst game I’ve ever watched Jokic play. He was terrible.
He looked exhausted. Apparently, Denver got back home at 2:40 in the morning on game day. They lost at Milwaukee on Monday night.

Maybe I misheard what they said but I thought that was the time the Kings got into Denver?
Yes Kyle mentioned it (for the Kings) after the bad start in the 1st quarter. Why would the Nuggets extend their stay in Milwaukee for a whole day after their match? And it was mentioned "hotel" not "home".

Huh, yeh looks like a bunch of the numbers I was looking at were not updated
Box score was stalled out at the 4-minute mark of the fourth for about 20 minutes after the game ended (so you were missing the HB 3 that was somewhere around the 2 minute mark). Apparently the Denver scorer's table was just so distraught...

very much in favor of all our Kings just saying "FU" to the All-star game after the disrespect to our stars.
I was looking forward to seeing Team Tamika Catchings dominate the Rising Stars mini tournament with "Summer League smirk" Keegan returning for an encore performance, but I also understand this sentiment. The whole NBA gets a middle finger from me too for essentially telling the city of Sacramento that our stars don't deserve to be celebrated in it's once a year self-promotion fest. No one in the dunk contest, three-point contest, skills challenge, or All Star game sends a pretty clear message how much the NBA CaresTM about Kings fans.

Deuce said that there is some talk that The Klaw could pull out of the all star game due to injury. You know Sabonis is next in line if a spot opens up. I have mixed feelings. He deserves it and it would look good for future hall of fame consideration but I also want him to get rest.
I'm enjoying angry Sabonis. I don't want to give him a salve (and how much he pushes himself and others I don't think he wants it either).

Looking forward way more to the year after we make a deep run and fight for a top seed and he gets into the MVP conversation

Will he get the 1.3M bonus if he turns up as a replacement though?

Bench points tonight... 18
Monk 1/10 shots (that basket that wasn't given "and one") and many sloppy plays but was good at defense, Lyles helped quite much in his limited time, Duarte was good for his standards, but I'd rather see Kessler instead of him, Keon and Len barely played to be able to "judge" them

From the starting lineup Fox woke up in the 4th luckily for us, Domas was superb (not a beast like yesterday) and managed to hold Jokic in the defense as well, Murray not effective in offense, missed several open shots, Huerter was ok, I am not sure that benching him out was the right call, maybe it's consequences after what happened yesterday or there was another incident that was off camera this time? Last but not least HB was the catalyst in the win, he hit that very big three that seemed not the best choice at that moment and though it looked he wouldn't return at the end, finally MB didn't forget him. 17 very efficient points in a match that we shot below 40%.

The trend with opponents hitting 40% or better from 3 while Kings way below despite taking more shots continues. We should have attacked the paint more (Jokic is very slow in switching players in defense but kudos to everyone that they managed to get a win there. Malone according to Kyle will be frustrated now and take it on his daughter playing volleyball.

Update: HB had 20 (like you guys pointed out) and Malik had 2/11 finally, should have guessed it since Fox was saying 20 with 7/20 shots before refreshing it
Lyles being out last night and not himself tonight (thank God for the all star break) along with Sasha, makes it really difficult for us. If Monk doesn't have it going, you're normally really in trouble, so it's good to see that they can still find a way to win in spite of those poor odds.

Good win. 10-9 during this stretch of 15/19 on the road, the standouts being @GS, @DAL, @IND, and both the home and away DEN games.

May have flubbed the Pistons game, but so far 2-2 so far during this infamous stretch which means that 4-5 or 5-4 is still very much feasible. Unfortunately it seems everyone right now is making their runs, but that comes and goes. Knicks were winning 9 in a row and then all of a sudden they were doing the opposite of that. Jazz won a bunch to put themselves into playoff position and then all of a sudden tapered off.

After the @MIN game on March 1, 15 of the Kings last 23 games are at home and only the @NY, @BOS, @BRK, @OKC trip is very notable.

I agree with most of them but regarding Knicks and Jazz, Knicks have lost almost half the starters lately with injuries (apart from Mitchell Robinson months ago), Randle and lately DDV and Hartenstein so Brunson is carrying the team on his own plus they had their match stolen at Houston. Don't know if all starters will be healthy in playoffs with Thibodeau using them for almost 40' per match. Regarding Jazz, similar with last season they decided to give up on several players of their rotation in trade deadline (Fontecchio and Olynyk) more interested for the future (getting a 1st round draft pick) than the present.

Regarding trade deadline, somehow after it the 3 bottom teams that struggled, losing big most of their matches, became a bit competitive and they are harder to beat lately if we look at their recent scores. I mean Pistons, Hornets and Wizards that among those is the only one we still have one match against them in DC at some point. Ofc there are other teams that have worse results again most of them in the East, Raptors, Pacers despite being stronger in theory and Sixers due to Embiid's injury and Tobias that torched us missing the last couple of matches.

Still there are some free agents available, but none of them can really make the difference. Some teams are still adding depth to their bench like the Suns that got Thad Young and probably will get Gallinari too, acquiring Royce O'Neal in the deadline (and Roddy but ok he doesn't matter) releasing players that barely made the rotation and 3 second round picks.
