Omri to Miami ?

#3
I'm sure the Heat would love to have Omri for a salary dump and an injured TJ:) I just don't see where this helps the Kings though??? Now I agree Winslow is just what the Kings need in a young wing defender. Is the 10th pick in this years draft Omri's value?

I had mentioned a while back that Casspi's trade value is up in his career year and maybe the Kings cash in. I'd hate to see him traded but if they put Winslow on the table with Tyler Johnson and we add a piece....you have to consider it. But Casspi wants to be here in Sac and has been good....hard to trade a guy like that.

I love Casspi and if we were able to cash in on him...I'd think about it. However, an offer of Birdman and Tyler Johnson (who I've clamored for 2 years ago) is highway robbery.

Johnson is a RFA and if we offer him enough money, he'll come here.

If we're talking about Winslow+Johnson, that would be amazing..

We can't trade the only guy who actually wants to be here - esp. since he took a pay cut to come back last summer. But considering every time I think this team can't get anymore dysfunctional, they do......who knows?

We absolutely cannot get a better value than Omri from anybody unless we get somebody great on a rookie contract.. (maybe)

States that Miami is interested in Omri. Made no claims bout offer but said maybe salary dump of bird man or that we could be interested in Tyler Johnson. I say the conversation doesn't start unless Winslow is in it.
Miami can drool over Omri all they like. Omri wanted to be here and his agent (Dan Fegan) made it happen. He's not going anywhere. Vlade made it clear he's not pulling the trigger on any trades unless it makes the Kings a lot better. Omri has matured into one of those glue role players you don't get rid of once you're lucky enough to get them.

As much as I like Winslow, I gotta agree with VF. Omri is one of the few bright spots and WANTS to be here. That's invaluable.
See, that's where we might have to take a step back and think real hard about how much we like Omri. Winslow has a chance to be special - not saying he's going to be, but he's got a chance. Tyler Johnson just doesn't move the needle, but Winslow...? In fact, I doubt that Miami would even put Winslow on the table in a deal for Omri - and when you're pretty sure the other team would think they're getting robbed, you have to at least consider whether you might in fact be doing the robbing and act accordingly.

I certainly can't argue against. I'd love to have Justice Winslow. I just see both sides of it.

A report that Miami would like Omri is a very long way from us being willing to trade him.

Good contract, friend of Cuz, has done well with Karl, one of our best shooters, and we need shooting. Hoophype again reports the obvious, that we are hanging up on people who mention Cuz. Omri might not be too far behind for anything anybody is likely to offer for him. Salary dumps? Are you kidding me? Why would you possibly want to dump a great value?

I like Tyler Johnson quite a bit. The problem is, he's out with a torn rotator cuff, possibly for the year. But make no mistake, he's a hidden gem right now. To get him and Winslow would make me think that someone in Miami is on drugs. No way that's going to happen. Tyler Johnson would be a solid step at solving out SG problems. Just don't think it looks like equal value on paper at the moment. I guess the greater questiion is, if Omri's value is so high, and we think highly of him, why then would we want to trade him? If someone wants something that you have and want, then they will have to overpay for it.
