Kings top 5 in worst bang for the buck in the NBA this season

Knicks had the worst bang for the buck in the NBA this season
Each regular-season win cost the Knicks close to $4.8 million, which puts Jackson's club ahead of Minnesota and even the deep-pocketed, underperforming Lakers in this ranking. (We're not even factoring in coaches and executives salaries here, which would make New York look even worse considering the lofty contracts of Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher).

At about 2.5 mil per win, that puts the Kings in the 5th spot.

Wow, what an insightful article! Let's discuss, how Kings managed to win only 29 games this season. We clearly haven't done that enough!

I think we all know why we ended up with the record we did. However, we did have some players on the team that at the moment aren't earning their keep. One of them, Williams is about to be gone. Landry, for various reasons, has brought little to the table to earn his contract.

Look on the bright side, we rank in the bottom 5 of NBA destinations for free agents, we are 100% in win now mode, we have a front office full of rookies and sophomores, and other than Vlade everybody in the front office can hear their clock ticking ... I can't see how we'd possibly sign a role player to an overpriced contract this summer.

SMH. This is sad but true. Damn, our owner is so fkn incompetent.

Dwill is about to expire. And some day the nightmare of Jt and Landry will end.
In the future the Kings need to be able to get contribution out of players on bargain deals. There are no excuses when Philly is able to discover guys like Wroten or Covington, or when Boston's Zeller is outplaying our costly Pf/C outside of Dmc.
It all starts with coaching, so we should be optimistic, that we will get more out of our roleplayers in the future.
I dont believe Karl is on the same level like Budenholzer or Stevens, but he is the best coach the Kings have for decade, so we should see some improvement in that area.

I'm not going to defend PDA....ever...but Collison was a good signing at that rate, Casspi was a bargain, Sessions was a cheap signing....and I think if you go back and look at some of the league signings, there were some bad ones once again....Hawes, Frye, etc

AGAIN, any article or analysis that uses Kings team wins as a barometer or criteria is misleading:

This franchise has not wanted to win in YEARS.
They have deliberately tanked to increase their loss count for the majority of the past 7 seasons.
A franchise that wants to win doesn't stick with Kenny Natt, Keith Smart, or Ty Corbin as their coach.

For the first 15 games of this season, this Kings team wanted to win. That was the most exciting thing to watch for the past 7 seasons. I'm very interested to see what happens when the front office (and owner) takes off the shackles and lets this team compete.

Kings internal number is: total salaries, divided by wins, divided by improvement in pace from prior year, divided by NBA 3.0 innovations. The team can’t share that number with us, but they aren’t rookies and they are very comfortable with the number.

We'll have Cuz, Rudy, a healthy DC and a great coach. We can shore up the bench with a smart draft choice and a low key free agent signing... we can surprise a lot of teams next year.

Vivek not meddling and ruining everything is crucial.

he also let tyreke, robin lopez, pizza guy go for nothing. he also acquired landry, dwill/mbah moute. considering what was available on the market at the time ...collison was definitely a + over IT.
