Malone's Statement

#31
I don't know, remember those quotes from after the Pistons loss Saturday where he was thanking the players for their effort? He knew it then, I'll bet.
Yep. I had the game on my DVR still so i went back and watched his comments the day after the firing. He definitely knew.

even looked like he had tears in his eyes. Might have been because of an emotional locker room in light of Hollins father passing away, but even if that was the reason for his watery eyes, his comments definitely came off as if he knew it was over

Not to put too fine a point on it or anything, but those statements are generally written by agents to ensure their client doesn't say anything that might have a negative impact on future employment.
Sorry for the confusion or selection of words, but I meant the statement he made on the floor coaching the team.

Mike Malone should have just told us what everyone else is thinking "your organization is ran by idiots" and that's why you have been nothing but below mediocre for the past decade, while management has changed things just stay the same, I feel very sorry for the fans of Sacramento".

Malone said the right words to keep all the doors open for future coaching jobs.
Civility is being a gentleman when those around you are not.

Nice statement, if he wrote it personally. Seems a class guy to all of us. Did his job as prep for this year but differences with FO were apparent within Kings inside that we may never really know or understand. NBA is a business and the Big Boss is the Boss and if the coach goes his own way not of the FO then you get fired. Malone was great assistant for some good teams and will resurface again soon.

4 years is a ways away. Perhaps Washington falls off, coaching situation falls off and Wall starts talking to management about ways to bring in Boogie.
Boogie has an option for 17/18 season, so it's this one and two more. Actually if things don't return back on track next season, Vivek & cronies might get an interesting note from Cousins' agent during summer 2016.

Oh no I understand that, why would they hire Malone is what im asking, they are playing really really well currently!
They would hire Malone so they can get Boogie.

Would not be at all surprised if this happens.

A bond like Boogie and Malone developed does not go away easily.

If I was the Wizards FO, I'd be finagling this starting yesterday.

.
I could be wrong, but I think they'd be very close to tampering if they did.

Coach Malone always has been and always will be a class act! Those in charge could learn a lot from him in terms of class and dignity!

He is a man of great character! He certianly is not coming across as a used car salesman unlike Vivek and PDA! The sound like bull$&@" artists that are quickly running out of bull$&@"!

It won't be FO representatives, it's going to be a report of a dinner between Wall and Boogie.

Makes me sad to read this and see him go. It's just so ridiculous that he got shafted like this. I really was excited about the possibility of him growing with our franchise for many years to come. Now it's on to the Tyrone Corbin/Chris Mullin era.....SIGH.
as I said before,

Popovich & Duncan == Malone & Cousins
