The Durantula will take care of business in this series. Memphis is a good team, but they're not good enough to take care of the Thunder. OKC takes this bad boy 4 - 1

Memphis is a really good team that would have had a much better record if Gasol hadn't been hurt and if they hadn't needed some time to get accustomed to Joerger's system. they've been the best team in the league since Gasol's return and they're really good at defending Durant. they've been dealt a serious blow with the Calathes suspension, but still, this could be a really interesting and tense series. OKC in 7, unless Westbrook isn't all there, in which case the Grizz might actually take this.

Maybe I've just watched too much basketball today (yeah, like that could ever happen ;) ) but this game just hasn't captured my interest like the earlier games.

Mike Tirico's data is wrong: he said that there are eight players in the league right now who have >= 10 years NBA experience, all with one team, and that six of them are All-Stars. Well, he's off by one, one way or the other: depending on whether or not you count the 13-14 season, there are either seven, or nine.

Six multiple-time All-Stars:
Kobe Bryant, LAL (1996)
Tim Duncan, SAS (1997)
Dirk Nowitzki, DAL (1998)
Tony Parker, SAS (2001)
Manu Ginobili, SAS (2002)
Dwyane Wade, MIA (2003)

One one-time All-Star:
Jameer Nelson, ORL (2004)

And two no-time All-Stars:
Nick Collison, SEA/OKC (2003)
Anderson Varejao, CLE (2004)

It's times like this that I'm glad I'm not on Twitter: I would spend an inordinate amount of my free time harassing talking heads who make statements like that.

Espn at its best.

The difference in the quality of play we see in these playoffs games and the quality of play of the Sacramento Kings is mind boggling.

Wait. Not sure but isn't it a rule that you can't step out of bounds and then come back in and touch the ball?? Durant was out of bounds before he shot that 4-point play.

Correct me if I'm wrong - isn't there at least some variation of that rule?

You have to establish both feet back in bounds, before touching the ball again. He did this

The amount of favoring the OKC Thunder get and the few foul calls the Grizz get (Gasol/Z-Bo hacked all day) is really crazy, love Memphis and man Mike Conley just keeps getting better such a good PG.

IT fans should just listen to all the comments/ criticism of Westbrook. Their flaws are pretty similar, kind of a result of their natural aggressiveness. Only ... despite all that, Westbrook is far more athletic and still a better defensive player.

He's also got pretty good size for a one.

No, they really aren't. The IT criticisms are exaggerated. You wouldn't see IT take the same number of shots as Durant. Guaranteed.

Well damn, Memphis is balling right now. Up 17 in the 3rd.

I want OKC/LAC so I'm hoping OKC pulls out this series, but wouldn't mind it going 7 games. Best of both worlds.

Conley absolutely choked down the stretch of the 4th... completely ineffective and was useless out there. I was about to say Tony Allen saved his ***, but Allen then proceeded to foul Westbrook on a 3... let's see if the Grizzlies can pull this one off.

Wow I was just thinking to myself: what on earth are these Grizzlies contesting OKC's shots so hard for? Just stick a hand up and don't risk fouling! And then Allen proceeds to foul Westbrook when they're up 4 with 1.7s left ... like c'mon Grizzlies use those brains a little bit, please!
