This announcing team is so miserable. No defending champ has made it past the second round in 5 years? Oh that means Denver is trying to "break ground." Thanks guys, super insightful.
Hunter is an interesting idea. He'll be entering year 1 of a 4 year / $95mm contract. At quick glance, he played 30 mpg and missed some time. So if ATL decides to draft another ~6'7" SF maybe they'll look to move off him? Huerter & the 13th pick for Hunter & remitting our pick? Essentially we'd...
Very curious if this will have an implication for our trade flexibility? We still owe ATL a future conditional first, but with the #1 pick coming inaybe there's reason for them to get rid of it
I almost wonder if a package of Huerter and the #13 pick could get us something like Dejaunte Murray...
He was coming off injury after losing his job with the Bucks during the final Puke Walton year. The org obviously wanted him after trading for him twice. But it's easy to forget what an unmitigated disaster that season was across the board, and it def hurt DDV's value.
I don't think the org...
That doesnt feel like a positive too much bc we got him at a huge discount and he deserves whatever he can get and thinks is right for him
But no I don't think the award would change the opinion of any professional FO. Maybe would sway some meddlesome owner out there who no longer wants to open...
Feels like a gut punch ending to the year. He deserved it. If Luka doesn't bowling-ball into him and Monk helps us win some of those late games to get to 6, he for sure wins it
He's got size toughness and hustle to be a good rebounder defender and energy guy. We barely saw him play in his first NBA season and he was injured thru most of it.
I can see him having bust potential too but everyone does coming into the league. It's way too early to write him off though.
Sure maybe. But you give him years to see what he can do. Maybe he gets a chip, maybe the talent isn't there. But that's a year 4 decision not year 2, ESPECIALLY in Sacramento. We'd never get a good candidate if we fired him.
How quickly we've forgotten what this org looked like before Mike Brown. Idk how anyone thinks we could fire a coach like him after 2 years and not end up with a nuclear trainwreck
