    All-Star Saturday a real snoozer

I wasn't really impressed with much of anything tonight. There seems to be too much forced hype and Nick Cannon was arguably the worst emcee in the history of sports. There were so many non-participants on the court during the various events that it was hard to even follow what was going on.

I have to agree with Sir Charles, who said they really need to do something about the dunk contest. They need to have STARS in the contest, not guys from the end of the bench.

All-Star Weekend has become a bad parody of itself. I certainly hope the game tomorrow is at least watchable.

It's pretty telling when the only thing of interest was the David Stern presser before the "exciting events"...

Agreed. I haven't watched All Star weekend since Peja was a part of the 3-point contests.

Sorry to hear you didn't care for it. I tend to think of All-Star Weekend as like pizza: even when it's crappy, it's still pretty good. And, disappointing though it may have been, it's still been, IMHO, better than anything else that's been on TV this weekend, by a million miles.

Honestly, I don't care for any all star games in any of the 4 major sports. In Baseball, it actually has a stipulation so it makes it a tad more interesting for me. However, NBA All Star Weekend and the Pro Bowl just bore me if I watch.

Well, I don't care for any of the other 3 "major" sports, at all, so I guess it balances out.

A dunk contest with MJ, Kobe, LeBron, Vince Carter, and Dwight Howard would be amazing...of course, they'd need more competitors, so feel free to throw some more names out there, past or present...

    ???

That's five guys, already. Exactly how many people do you think need to be in the dunk contest?

Most of the 1980's saw 8 guys in the dunk contest...Can't see why they couldn't cough up 8 all-time great dunkers...
