Seems like the Kings are always looking up at their opponents. Hmm... curious.
Great post. I can't agree more about Tyreke. The team has played very poorly since he came back. I think if they can get a good player or 2 in return for Tyreke they do it. I just don't see him being the star everybody thought he'd be.
I hope everything went okay with your hospital stay...

The defense has really regressed since the beginning of the season. For shame!

Kings Suck !!!
sometimes i dont understand why people post about how the team does with a player out. theres more to it than wins and losses while a player was out. you do know that the teams we beat were a knicks team without melo, felton, amare (and we almost lost if not for JJ making a shot he hasnt made all season), a boston team in a slump coming off a b2b, and 2 bottom dwellers in cleveland and toronto. now you are comparing that to when he plays with us against memphis dallas and miami and its his fault we are losing?
That isn't what I meant at all. I was questioning the competitive nature or lack thereof of Tyreke and the lack of leadership of the coach.
Being in the hospital is a bad sign for a person my age. This was not elective hence my introspection towards the priorities of my life. Now if the Maloofs should divorce themselves from this team, my priorities could change again. I love basketball. I hate what the Kings are doing.

Upwards and onwards.
Reke tends to be concerned about how the team is playing and he thinks that he doesn't want to be selfish and push his way back in and hurt feelings. He has been this way after every injury when the team is playing well without him. So he puts it on the coach to say the team will play better with him in the starting lineup. However we have a weak willed coach who can't make hard decisions hence everyone playing and so it drags out longer then it needs to. Reke needs to start as soon as his comes back to play just so everyone on the roster understands that he is one of "The Guys" and one of the leaders even if he is only able to play 10 minutes he starts on this team at this time if I am coach.
Reke and the team would be better off if reke stood up and took on the responsibility a leader needs to accept and put his foot into the game but it is what it is. Eventually the players are going to have to start making the decisions the coach should be if they ever want to succeed.
I got the Mia broadcast also and they said reke left it up to smart.
I was at the game and it was sad from the get go. Also, the Kings fans seemed sedated the whole game, but the Heat (or LBJ fans) were out in force and loud. It looked like a freshman team against the varsity out there. IT stood out for his 3s, and TRob got in there and rebounded, but I wouldn't say anybody really played a good game. The Heat just scored at will. They could have won by at least 50, I think, if they hadn't taken mercy on us by benching their starters for pretty much the second half. That was kind of nice, because then I didn't have to listen to all the LeBron worship present.
I could not figure out what Smart was doing, but the team just seemed to have no spark. It was like they just went out and assumed they'd lose, so why try too hard. I love the Kings, but like a misbehaving child, it is harder to remember how much you love them when they seem to be in a giant sulky funk.

PROUD OF SACRAMENTO. PROUD TO BE A KINGS FAN.
I like how a lot of people are saying Reke should be starting right now when I got flamed for that opinion a few weeks ago.
He went to LA to get a 2nd opinion on his knee. The 2nd opinion said that he was able at that time to play. That was before the 4 game road trip, right? Am I wrong? He did not accompany the team on that road trip. I am definitely confused about who makes decisions about what. How is his playing time decided?
Upwards and onwards.
See here is how it works. Smart has this little wheel with all the players pictures on it. And in the middle, there's this little arrow that he spins, and which ever player the arrow lands on, thats who goes into the game. Now he also has another wheel with an arrow, and numbers around the outside. So after he spins the player wheel, he then spins the numbers wheel and thats how many minutes the player gets before he comes out. Now of course once you've been in, your picture is covered up for an entire quarter to give other players a good chance of geting into the game. Its a very complicated system thats taken years to work out. Smart accidently stumbled upon it at the state fair one year.
Its hard to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.
Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.
Not sure who was flaming you -- plenty of Reke haitng idiots out there. But generally on this board more would have argued starting than not. I think after seeing how out of shape he was for the first game, it was better he came off the bench there. But that was info we did not have and the coaching staff did. No excuse for it after that though. You don't dick around with your star players. And you are an idiot if you can't tell who those star players are. Bad teams are bad for a reason though.
