George Maloof’s Virginia Beach arena ploy falls apart, Seattle rumors heat up

I was never worried about VB. This Seattle tumor....a huge concern. I can see the NBA getting behind that.

It should be pretty obvious now that the Maloofs USED Virginia Beach to inflate the "value" of the Kings and maybe even make Hansen nervous enough that he'd be willing to pony up a big offer to stop any further dealings. Add another +1 to the list of Maloofs' shady dealings and business practices. If I was the major of VB, I would not be happy with the way VB was played and wasted hundreds of thousands of taxpayers' dollars in an exercise that the Maloofs were never really going to see through. I wonder if VB could sue them for "negotiating" in bad faith, and try to recoup their losses - much like we (Sac) should...

This is Business 101. How could VG sue them for negotiating? The Maloofs didn't put a gun to their head and force them to negotiate. They were stupid enough to get involved with the Maloofs and actually think they could get somewhere with them. They got what they deserved IMO.

I am pretty sure there could be an issue of negotiating in bad faith with a government entity. It's wasting the public's resources.

I think it's time to pull a "Queen of England Prank Call"

Let's call Chris Hansen's office as one of the Maloofs and tell Hanson we're selling to Sac.
