    Jason Thompson

How do guys think of how he has been playing this season? I ask only because he may be at the 5 for a while while DMC is out. Personally I really like him because he has probably been the most consistent player this year on the team. He doesnt always light up the stat sheets like DMC on his good nights but Ive always found him to be very mature for his age out there which is a welcome change from DMC. Do you guys think he could develop his game and get better?

Jason HAS gotten better and he's adapted his game, getting rid of a couple of really annoying habits that used to hinder him and drive fans nuts. He's a solid player and an asset.

JT is solid, and my guess is any contending team would love to add a guy like that to their front line. They guy works hard every night and is a true professional, something Cousins could learn from. His production matches his contract, maybe even a bit of a bargain by todays big man standards.

Solid, productive, professional, etc. I really like his game to be honest and I think he's one of the keepers on this team. He actually knows how to play the game and be a pro.

Jason is certainly not our problem in this situation.

Amen. Even with being drafted as a college senior he still had some growing pains, but he's matured nicely.
I appreciate a good math pun - as long as it isn't too graphic.

We can all agree about the positive attributes of Thompson. In the absence of Cousins he would probably be asked to be somewhat more aggressive on offense.

I hope Robinson makes strides like JT has because he looks even more lost out there than JT ever did.

Not sure where this JT was lost thing has come from. JT was an atrocious hacker, but he was actually a very productive rookie. 11.1pts 7.4rebs on .497 shooting in 28min a night is pretty strong for a rook. His numbers this year are 11.1pts 8.0reb on .506 shooting in 30min a night.

JT recieved a good amount of pt right away so his numbers are going to look decent. Look I'm just calling it like I seen it because I remember clearly JT making alot of dumb plays that took a long time to correct. Dribble drive anyone? Anyways he's playing really solid now.

Thompson is playing well. He's a guy, who, despite the coaching carousel, has continued to improve his game. High character, high work ethic guy. Now we need to get some more talent on this team so he can start winning more.

As I mentioned before, he seems to be the only guy that can ignore the craziness around him and just play basketball. His stats may be the same as his rookie year but his judgment seems far better. It is difficult to compare rookie stats to present stats as as a rookie he was not paired with Cousins.
    Upwards and onwards.

he's our version of nick collison. solid player, will only get better with age.

"This league has a habit, and I am just going to say habit, of producing some pretty incredible story lines," Kahn said. "Last year it was Abe Pollin's widow and this year it was a 14-year-old boy and the only thing we have in common is we have both been bar mitzvahed. We were done. I told Kevin: 'We're toast.' This is not happening for us and I was right." David Kahn

Prerty much and those are the type of guys you ALWAYS want on your team. A work horse, high character, great team man and a great locker room presence!
Jim Capers once called a foul on me while I was sitting on the bench. Tweet! "Foul, number fifty-three! Five-three!" Everybody was confused and looking around for number 53, so I stood up and said, "I'm over here and the only thing I'm fouling is the water bottle." - Darryl Dawkins

Jason's a good player but overvalued by some on Kingsfans. Good attributes: plays hard, runs the floor, rebounds adequately, and works to improve his offensive game. Not impressive: defense, shot blocking, fumbles passes, and argues/gets distracted by too many calls he doesn't agree with.
He used to be the poster boy for low basketball IQ, but - to his credit - he's taken some strides in the past two years toward making better decisions and fewer mistakes.

JT is one of those "stats don't tell the whole story" guys that only when watching him would you see the improvement. His stats look like his rookie year, but remember when he was always tossing up those bricks inside or making other dumb plays and turning the ball over for no reason.

He's let the game come to him rather than trying to force it I guess. That's how I would best describe him. He's a solid player who I would love to have if we were a good team.
    THANK YOU MAYOR JOHNSON!
    Thank you Vivek Ranadive!
    Thank you Carmichael Dave!
    Thank you Mike!
Thank you every other minority owner!

You all saved the Sacramento Kings! Long live Sacramento!

I do remember that, but most rookies are that way. Lillard is an idiot half the time too. Not lost though. It was clear JT was going to have a long career in the league from early on when you looked beneath the rookie mistakes. Some were even predicting stardom, although I never got on that train given his skillset.

Anyway, its a minor point. Just one I've seen repeated a few times around here and not sure how it got started.

love the effort and hustle, but his entire offense besides his midrange jumper, is very ugly.

I think this is why you and I have a different opinion on DMC. His game can be pretty but it isn't consistently that effective.
