Its officially time for Cousins to GO

I love DMC and have been one of his biggest supporters, but its time for us to get rid of him. Getting benched in the clippers game for argueing with keith smart is the last straw. I know Smart is not exactly the best coach in the world but still, enough is enough. He still has a ton of value and we need to take advantage of that while we still can. Just a few ideas:

Cousins to the bobcats for Kidd-Gilchrist and their 1st round pick.

Cousins and Garcia to Houston for Asik and Parsons

Cousins to Boston for Bradley and Green and Fab Melo

Cousins to Miami for Bosh (not likely but still would ask)

Cousins to Washington for Beal and thier 1st round pick (DMC and John wall are buddies) maybe also Nene

Your anger is directed in the wrong direction.
I appreciate a good math pun - as long as it isn't too graphic.

    No chance they do this.

It looks like the rest of the team is playing their butts off this half. Usually a team would mail it in in support of their teammate, not here, the guy must be an absolute nutcase in the lockerroom. I'm sure theres a lot of stuff we never hear about.

close this thread. Open your eyes because the problem here is the coach. I hope Cousins gave him a mouthful because the coach is terrible. How would you like seeing your team playing like crap on both ends of the floor? There's absolutely no offensive or defensive system whatsoever which would make me really frustrated too. Cousins wants to win and Keith Smart is a loser in basketball standards. That's it. Plain and simple.

the res tof the team is the little kid trying to punch the big kid, while the big kid palms their head and holds them at arms length.

doesn't matter, if his teammates were behind him and hated the coach they would have thrown the game. I like Cousin's potential, but the guy is clearly an immature nutcase, and being with this franchise is doing nothing for him. If everything stays as is, we will never see the true potential of Cousins in a Kings uniform, much like Rasheed Wallace or Zach Randolph in Portland. This franchise is just a complete mess and having a volatile 22 year old as your centerpiece is disaster waiting to happen.

This! I do agree we need to trade DMC. I've been saying that for 2 months but all these trade ideas are crazy. DMC doesn't nearly have the trade value you think he has. Why would he?

Stop. Just stop. Enough is enough with DMC. His act has grown old.

This is a fair, and undersold point. I mean, I agree with Bricklayer insofar as getting rid of a talent like Cousins for the sake of an unproven coach like Smart is a franchise-killing move. But, why are we assuming that the problem is just between Cousins and the coach? What if none of Cousins' teammates like him, either? There's no question that Smart needs to be gone, yesterday, but you can't very well trade the other twelve guys, too!

That doesn't exactly help your case in support of him because if he's being that much of a problem he's still at fault. Yeah Keith Smart's not the greatest coach, the ownership is piss poor, the GM is asleep at the wheel, etc. But the players still matter. DMC has franchise talent and he's not acting like a franchise player. He's acting like a spoiled 11 year old and if he thinks this is okay after what he's done in his first 2 year's he's flat out wrong. He's not putting himself in the best position to play well. Still not in great shape, doesn't play good defense, not rebounding like he's capable of, would rather shoot jumpers than post up, still makes horrible decisions, and his effort is iffy at best. His FG% is horrible for a big man his size. I love Cousins' talent but he's got to get his act together quick or this is not gonna work. You can still try to be a leader, good teammate, good player on the floor, professional, etc. He's not doing those things. And yes he's young and immature but guys like Carmelo, LeBron, Bosh, all came in at young ages and didn't have nearly this many problems. If they were injury problems I'd cut him some slack but he's causing these himself. A guy like KG was a leader right off the bat. At some point you have to accept that Cousins is more Rasheed Wallace/Zack Randolph than he is KG/Duncan.

I'll beg to differ with that last part: Garnett was not a leader right off the bat. Garnett went to a team with Terry Porter, Sam Mitchell and Doug West, and later Terrell Brandon; they were the leaders. Not only was Garnett not the leader in the locker room off the bat, it took him three years to even become a leader on the court!

It's time to trade Cousins even if we get less talent in return. He will never get what it takes to be a good teammate and professional. Some guys will never get it.

Some fourteen years ago, the exact same claim was made by Wizards fans about Mayce Edward Christopher Webber III.

My impression was the team was in good spirits starting the second half. Lots of smiles and laughs.

Webber wasn't even close to DMC's knucklehead level. He also had way more charisma than DeMarcus does and ever will.
