Newtown CT shooting

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Newtown, CT and the families of those who were murdered today. I cannot begin to imagine the grief and anguish they will be facing over the coming days.

Absolutely ****ty. As an educator, I can't even imagine any reason for why someone would think this is a good idea.

What is this society becoming? I don't get it. Go to high school, kids bring guns and bombs on campus and go crazy on everyone, and everything, they see in their path. Go to college, a person brings a gun on campus and starts shooting. Go to a mall, a person brings a gun to the mall and starts shooting. Go to a movie theater, a person brings a gun to the theater and starts shooting. Go to an elementary school classroom, a person brings a gun to the classroom and starts shooting.

Pretty soon, go to a strip club, a person will come in to the club and start shooting....it's becoming ridiculous.

Now, I understand that a strip club may not be the best example here, but the point I am trying to make is that society is getting to the point at which it is going to be unsafe to go pretty much anywhere...

Thoughts and prayers go out to all involved. I can't even begin to imagine being a father of a son or daughter, and hearing the news that he/she has been killed by gunfire. It has always broken my heart, it still breaks my heart, and it forever will break my heart...

More than anything, this is sickening...

My thoughts prayers and sympathies are with the people of Newtown, Ct tonight, most especially those who lost children or other loved ones. This also includes remaining family members of the shooter. They are in their own special hell, I imagine. Such an unimaginable tragedy.
