    Fines and suspensions thread

OK, here are the three fines and suspensions for Kings players so far this season. Am I missing any?

NEW YORK -- The NBA has suspended Sacramento Kings forward Thomas Robinson for two games for elbowing Detroit's Jonas Jerebko in the neck.

The play occurred with 10 minutes left in Sacramento's 105-103 win on Wednesday night. Robinson, the fifth overall pick in this year's draft out of Kansas, was immediately ejected.

Robinson will miss the Kings' games against San Antonio on Friday and the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

NEW YORK — The NBA suspended Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins for two games without pay for confronting San Antonio Spurs announcer Sean Elliott in a hostile manner.

The exchange followed the Spurs' 97-86 victory in Sacramento on Friday night. Cousins, who has a volatile past, will lose about $70,500 of his $3.9 million salary.

Cousins will sit out games at the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday and at home Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers.

NEW YORK -- Sacramento Kings guard Aaron Brooks has been fined $25,000 for throwing his mouthpiece into the stands immediately following the Kings 104-102 road loss to the Utah Jazz on Nov. 23. The fine was announced today by Stu Jackson, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

Is there really a need for this thread? What's the point?

Hopefully this thread will wither on the vine and die from lack of nourishment.

MILWAUKEE - DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended for tonight's game against the Milwaukee Bucks for hitting O.J. Mayo in the groin Monday night in Dallas.

Cousins has maintained it was an accident.

"In slow motion it looks like I did on purpose," Cousins said yesterday. "But you look in real speed you see what happened. Of course it's gonna get thrown out there that I did it on purpose."

This is Cousins' second suspension from the NBA this season. He was suspended two games last month for confronting San Antonio television analyst Sean Elliot after a game in Sacramento.

Whether you think this thread is needed or not, you might find this interesting. There is a web site that lists EVERY fine/suspension the NBA has doled out since 94-95.

    Here is my fav:

    4/18/12
The NBA fined Delonte West (Dal) $25,000 for giving Gordon Hayward (Uta) a
wet willy (poking him in the ear with a finger) during Monday's Dal-Uta
    game.

"Wet willy" sounds a lot dirtier than a poke in the ear....with a finger, I mean.
