I actually support both of those moves. never thought I would say that about Salmons, but after seeing JJ's act early...

    thing is this:
    1) 2 3pt shooters, so minimizes Reke's shooting problems
    2) Brooks used to work with Yao, should be able to be decent with Cuz
    3) IT and Thornotn have always sworked well together, now we team them back up
    4) IT can be more of a floor general off the bench without freezing out Reke
    5) in the preseason Johnson and TRob had some quarters of strong flying aorund hustle play together. Now we pair them back up off the bench.

What it doesn't help: we just ngot small and weak and our rebounding woes are more or less cemented. Still, we needed a shakeup, and JJ and IT on and off were struggling more games than not. Let's give it a go this way and see if it shakes us out of our doldrums.

Salmons has seen content to take more of a back seat roll too. If he continues to do that and Tyreke/Cousins get the ball more often you won't hear me complaining.

I understand you cynicism, but wouldn't it be nice if the opposite happened instead. Or at least, a draw happened. Have we gotten to the point where we no longer hope for the best, but always expect the worse? Trust me, that can become so infectous, that we can find ourselves rooting for failure as affirmation of our expectations. If and when I get to that point, I'm done!

I'm not trying to be critical, just pointing out what I've seen in my past experiences. Particularly in sports and politics.

I agree with you. One of either Tyreke or JJ had to be moved, and the easiest move ego wise, is to replace JJ with Salmons, who is definitely more of a scoring threat, and should help spread the floor better, helping both Cuz and Tyreke. It gives us a couple of very athletic players in the second unit with both T. Robb and JJ out there. Also makes it possible to help hide Jimmers weakness on defense if he's in the game with that group.

"Ego wise?" Should we interpret that to mean that you don't think that it is the easiest move to make otherwise?

Seemed to fix some things. Worth another look against the Lakers probably. Salmons can take Kobe, Reke can take Metta, and Brooks won't have to worry about being posted up by Blake.

Seems like sound thinking. Which is why I thoroughly expect to see Fredette and Outlaw starting on Wednesday.

    Sad but true!
Jim Capers once called a foul on me while I was sitting on the bench. Tweet! "Foul, number fifty-three! Five-three!" Everybody was confused and looking around for number 53, so I stood up and said, "I'm over here and the only thing I'm fouling is the water bottle." - Darryl Dawkins
