IT SHALL BE RANADIVE.
And why is jimmermania losing!?!?!
IT SHALL BE RANADIVE.
Jimmermania has a state, Linsanity has a country. But I don't think objectivity is really what you're going for here.![]()
Defense matters.
Jimmermania may never be abundant again in the NBA, but his college legacy is cemented. Jimmermania wins because he has already accomplished something. For all of Lin's struggles, he did revitalize a hurting Knicks team, but don't know if that is enough to get him a place in history.
Dude, Jeremy Lin led Harvard to the best season in the history of the program his senior season. He's also the first Asian American to start in the NBA. If he does nothing the rest of his career, he's already ensured a place in history for that. Yes Jimmer got his team to the sweet sixteen, but BYU has played in 8 of the last 10 NCAA tournaments. What Lin did at Harvard was more of an outlier. To be honest, I've always been uneasy about Jimmermania because it propelled him to a player of the year award in a season where he barely played any defense at all. I don't care if you score 50 points a game, I don't think you can be player of the year if you only play one end of the court. But that's my personal bias. The way the question is framed, it's not meant to be taken seriously but right now Lin is also the better NBA player.
