Just curious. Since his career high game how many 3's has IT shot and made?

Its actually 1-18 since the Miami game.

But thing is that he wasn't shooting it well going into the Miami game either:

In the 5 games before the Miami game he shot 2-17 from three.

Against Miami he shot 6-8 from three.

In the 8 games since the Miami game he's shot 1-18 from three.

So its really kind of been a miserable month for him from distance, interrupted by one freakish career night.

Didn't we all hear one of the reasons for starting IT was to put someone who can shoot next to Reke? IT is the worst 3pt shooter on this team no matter how you look at from our group of guards whom actually play. Our best 3pt shooters are

in that order. Who would have thought IT and MT would be the worst heading into this season, with IT considerably worse than the others. What doesn't help is our two worst 3pt shooters jack more 3's per game than the other guards.

So the question is is IT just not a good 3pt shooter like we thought he might be last year and he just got hot for a bunch of games, or is he just in a shooting slump for most of this season?

Maybe it's because teams prepare for him now since he's on their radar, and that's had an affect on his entire game?

Don't remember Napear ever saying that, but it was a point I made repeatedly. Wanted to see it work for more than one year. Now we'll see. He was at a decent percentage before this month, but its in full collapse now. Ironically Reke is shooting 70 points higher from 3pt land.

Agree, when Reke has his feet planted and shoots that set shot without falling away, his shot is money most of the time. I like.

IT is just a volume streak shooter. His percentages will jump and drop but will end up average.

Again, what sucks is that is a lot like MT, Brooks, (and Jimmer to an extent) and you really only need one of those guys on a team.

I described him in one of my write ups as very streaky, and when contested by a taller, but just as athletic player, his shooting really suffered, and all the way around, not just from the three. In three years at Washington his overall 3pt average was 32.5%, and his overall FGP was 42.6%. Nothing to write home about with either of those aveages. The best he ever shot from the three was in his last year when he shot 34.9%. Now bear in mind, that when a good shooter from College comes into the NBA, their shooting percentages usually take a hit, and it takes them a couple of years to adjust to the physcality, size, and above average speed of the NBA players.

Thomas seemed to contradict the norm last season. However, it seems to have caught up with him this season. Now if he was chalking up 7 or 8 assists a game, you could probably swallow hard, and tolerate his poor shooting. But he's not! So what you have right at the moment, is an undersized 5'9" PG that can't shoot, and doesn't get you any assists. Sounds like the dream player to me. And I did say, at the moment!

While yes those are the %'s. You need to put them in context. Evans has cut down his 3pt attempts drastically. He's mostly only taking 3's on passes now and not off the dribble. This is a good thing. But it doesn't mean he should be taking more 3's.

Certianly not, but its all that is required to be a spacer. If you can hit an open catch and shoot three then guys can't leave you.

This I disagree with he's spacing the floor. That's the point, he's not shooting it with a defender in his face. His defender is helping more towards the paint. This isn't going to change with his history. It will take more than this year for teams to change their defense on him.
