I'm always weary about 'Indefinite' suspensions. I feel like a lot of those have lead to a trade.
Welp, Kings Basketball? What a mess.
Good for them! Glad they had the courage to do the right thing. And, yes, this season is a complete mess but this is a good start in fixing the problem. Look for the Kings to start playing much harder in the games to come.
We cannot trade him now. His value is rock bottom. Damn r team sux.
Glad the team is finally taking it upon themselves to discipline Cousins. Nobody denies Smart needs to go, but our supposed team leader should never have multiple altercations with the coach during a game, especially when getting blown out on the road
Glad I got to witness him play in person one last time last night
Geez!! Merry Christmas naughty Santa Cuz.

What's the difference between ignorance and indifference? I don't know and don't care.![]()
Somewhere, Paul Westphal is asking, "Wait, why did I get fired?"

It might be the best thing for the team and Cousins right now. Were going nowhere anyway, and Cuz needs to learn a lesson, and take responsibility for his actions. Suspend him for a couple of weeks and send him to a good psychiatrist that specializes in anger management. I still don't think trading him is the right approach. For one thing, his value is at an all time low. Doesn't mean other teams wouldn't want him, it just means they'll try and steal him.
The irony of the situation was that as I watched the game last night, I thought to myself that Cousins was handling things on the court very maturely. I didn't see the altercation between him and Smart at the end of the first quarter. The Kings have a lot invested in Cousins, so I'm hopeful that they can put together a plan for him to succeed. Its in everyone's best interest for that to happen.
Its hard to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.
Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.
But it is Petrie's and the Maloof's fault to set him up for failure by having to be coached by someone who is learning on the fly. I guarantee you that Cousins wouldn't be like this 3 seasons into his career if he was being coached by an established NBA coach with recent head coaching experience.
He doesn't have to say what exactly happened, but he has to say something. I'm tired of this guy hiding in the background all season while the team crumbles and falls apart. Take responsibility for your terrible off season moves and put it in prospective for people who are spending tons of $$ to see your pathetic product on the court.
He (Petrie) spoke after the Donte/Cuz incident so you never know.
