    Walton Logic

Love him or hate him, Bill Walton knows basketball and does not pull any punches. He said things last night like- "if you are not as big and strong as your opponent you have to run on him." "If you are not a good shooting team, (the Kings) and you don't win the rebounding and loose balls, how do you expect to win?" I agree. He also pointed out several times the lack of effort in the first half. The second half was much better. "Bring it every night" he said.

“Come on, that was no foul! It may be a violation of all the basic rules of human decency, but it’s not a foul.”

“Save some for later? Balderdash... this is the playoffs!”

“A lot of people understand what not saying anything means, so, in effect, not saying anything is really saying a lot.”

“I had the only beard in the Western Hemisphere that made Bob Dylan's look good.”

“Life is about growth. People are not perfect when they're 21 years old.”

“No matter how good you get, there's always something further out there.”

"Atlanta(or the Kings in this case) needs all 13 lottery picks."
"The current Sacramento Kings owners have proven time and time again that they do not care about the squad’s fans, the community that surrounds the team, and the product on the court. The Sacramento Kings owners are sniveling, conniving front-runners that do not understand the game of basketball, much less the ideals that help buttress attempts at tact, poise and reason." - Kelly Dwyer

I love Bill Walton. I've never understood all the hate he gets. Sure he says crazy things but its just part of his gig. He's got an enormous heart and is passionate about the game of basketball.

Walton is the only thing that could make a Kings game even remotely watchable for a national audience (on league pass), and increasingly for the cynical Kings fans. I must admit I don't think he always comes prepared, in terms of memorizing the stats etc of all players, so some of what he says sometimes is just inaccurate, but he calls the game with a certain personality unmatched by the boring, country-bumpkin yes-man who is normally in that seat

lol yes! this is how it always goes.

Grant "do you think the other team is better when this player is on the floor"
Jerry " yes they get better when hes on the floor"

Grant "do you think the kings need to take care of the ball more"
    Jerry "yes they need to"

I had great respect for Walton the player, but as an announcer, he drives me up the wall. I actually turned off the sound for while last night because I couldn't take anymore. He was raving about how great IT was in the first half, when all he did was run around and shoot the ball or turn the ball over. Now I thought IT played much better in the second half, but at times I wonder just what Walton is watching. He criticized Cousins for not getting down into the post after the Kings had one offensive possession 30 seconds into the game. I mean, couldn't he wait until the game was at least 5 minutes old?

He says ridiculous things like, Cousins should get in the post and attack the basket, I don't care if he misses every shot. Really? Well I care! Walton will say one thing, and in the next breath, contradict what he just said! Stuff just come pouring out of his mouth with no rhyme or reason. In the game last night he praised T. Robb for his tenacity and hustle after tipping in a shot at the basket. The problem is, it was JT that tipped in the shot.

Hey for those that like him, enjoy! But he's just not my cup of tea. My mind thinks to logically to appreciate his style of broadcasting. He was though, one of the best passing big men to ever play the game.

The first part he said after Cousins missed 2 straight 18 footers without getting a touch near the basket which he has every right to point out, and tbh I rather Cousins miss around the basket than take those 18 footers at least he can draw fouls that way. Hes only saying I don't care if he misses every shot as in to say I rather him be closer to the basket , I personally think Bill Walton is as interesting as anyone I find him hilarious.

Walton is an idiot. Fortuantely mute buttons were invented. Easier to watch sets/plays that way anyway.

Jay, I don't know you or remember you and have generally been ignoring your silly little jabs as beneath notice. But if you want to continue down a path disrupting random threads with ridiculous attempts to bait me (seriously, do you know what I do for a living??) eventually the issue will be solved, capiche? Nobody's in the mood for whatever your problem is. You have a problem with me, then I suggest you push away from the computer and go have a sugar cookie.

What you do for a living? LMAO what could that possibly have to do with anything. But thanks for proving my point.

    k, look.

    1) I'm a lawyer.

    2) you're picking a very dumb fight. You are a nothing around here. You do not contribute other than to try to jab me. I'll give a little leeway to people who contribute to the board. You on the other hand are doing the opposite by hijacking threads with this complete nonsense. So 100% clear, if you do it again, I am going to boot you immediately. We talk Kings around here. If that's not why you are here, you won't be here. So, enough.

Serious ?, no jabs. What does the fact that you are a lawyer have to do with anything?

    No jabs inferred.

Please believe me when I say I have been insulted in far more elaborate and colorful language in real life than anything anybody is going to manage on a message board. Sometimes even by people with a real reason for it. Fussing and fighting is all relative.

Now, its 3 days until Christmas, our would be franchise player just got himself suspended indefinitely for cussing out the coach...I don't think the tatters of the remaining fanbase want to log on here to watch us chatter about me. If you want to pursue anything further, let's take it to PMs.

You're right.. The Hornets played a damn close dame with Montana and I was switching back and forth. I wouldn't have if Walton wasn't on.

No wonder I always argue with Brick. As a person that works in law enforcement, lawyers are about as bad to me as criminals.
