Blow up the Kings article by the Hoops Doctor:

I don't put a lot of stock in some of these articles, but there is a tweet from Sam Amico thats relevant, and perhaps cause to believe some sort of trade is coming. Anyway, take it with a grain of salt. While I agree with some of the premise, I don't agree with all the observations.

You realised it's Amico from Fox sports, Ohio and not Sam Amick, right? Guy who doesn't even have full knowledge of the Cavs, let alone Kings.

The author of the article himself knows nothing. He would be the 200th most Kings knowledgible poster on this board if he started posting here.

The Sam Amico tweet though could mean something or not. Its the know nothing author's interpretation that we are looking to blow things up. All the tweet says is that we are open to moving some of our youth in trade. Adn is that a shock? Makes sense to me. And it depends on what Amico, or this author, think are "nice young pieces". For me, "nice young pieces" are Cousins, Reke and to a lesser degree Thornton. For the dip writng the article they might be IT, Jimmer and TRob, which would hardly shake up our core. In any case when an author takes this quote:

Kings are very open to moving some of their nice young pieces. Willing trade partner with assets.
    and interprets that this way:

but this willingness to decimate their roster via trade proves that they’re aware that things need to change.
we've got some spinning going on.

We'd be stupid not to be looking at trades after starting 4-12 and with a coach in bed with the Maloofs, making him largely uinfirable in all liklihood. Statement raises no eyebrows for me. Silly extremism of the surrounding article raises few either given the guy's apparent origins on bleacherreport.

Yep, I know that. Thats why I said take it with a grain of salt. The guy writing the article can be a total idiot at times. Its possible that Amico has heard some info around the league, so thats why I posted it. I wouldn't bet my life, or even yours on it though.

They should be looking to blow things up, but the problem is that the same minds that assembled such mismatched talent would be the same minds trying to reconstruct the team.

There are times when I doubt that Amico can even tie his own shoes. This is one of those times.

I'll say it again, Cuz and Reke aside, I'm not going to lose any sleep seeing anyone else moved. If they're serious about getting respectable this year trades are a must.

TBH, I was hoping to see what a good coach could do with these players (and this team) before trading them away.

But realistically I do see the Kings looking to trade a player or two considering they're not going to fire coach Smart any time soon.

i see no problem trading any player not named demarcus cousins or tyreke evans. tremendously poor coaching aside, this team remains mismatched. if a trade of one or more of the kings' many mini-gunners brings back a veteran, defensively-oriented, role-playing SF/PF/C, you will find no complaints from me...

Even if what Amico is saying about the Kings being open to "blow up" their roster, I don't think Petrie has it in him to pull the trigger on significant deals and do a complete turn around.
