For those of us who do not follow every game played and every player, could folks please maybe include just a *bit* of detail on what the heck you are talking about? I don't know if you are being serious or sarcastic. And I sure as heck don't plan to start googling players every time a vague comment is made..... Did he score 30? Apologies. He had 23 points 11 assists in a big win over the Lakers and was very composed.
He also had a bajillion turnovers(although that's still half a bajillion less than Cuz) and was being defended by old (and injured) Steve Nash and generally crappy Steve Blake for the majority of the game. I did like his composure down the stretch though.
Take it for what its worth, but high turnovers early in a career is the best indicator for later success in point guards.

Watching this LAL/BK game. What I've noticed is what most coaches would and do do.
D12 out first, earlier in the 1st, Kobe stays in through the end of the 1st. Then Kobe rests as D12 comes back in. Then Pau comes back. Then Kobe around the 7 min mark and all three are in for rest of the half. Not a single minute without one of the LAL big three out there. 15+ mins with big three out there first half.
For BK, JJ sits earlier in the first and Deron stays in through the end of the period. When Deron sits, JJ immediately comes in. Around 6-7 min mark, Deron comes back in and he and JJ are there through the end. Books also gets brief breather and is back with more than half the second quarter to go. Not a minute without one of their big three out there. 15+ mins with big three out there first half.
This is pretty standard. If LAL and BK aren't good enough to risk not having one of their big three out there, and do everything possible to play them as many minutes together, then how are we somehow good enough to continue riding our bench to the extent we do? Our big three in Reke/Cuz/MT are not as good as the big three on these two teams, yet we play our big three together far less. We're also younger so being tired and resting guys is a terrible excuse.

That's something that Smart just doesn't get. He keeps giving the excuse that we're not deep enough to have 8-9 guys playing every night, because the guys aren't reliable enough so he has to play 11 guys. In the first place that doesn't make sense to me, because I don't see how subbing Brooks out for Jimmer makes us any better or worse. Secondly, what happened to our bench is one of the deepest in the leagues and all that nonsense? Lastly, he still doesn't get that who and how many guys you're playing is one thing, when they're playing and who they are playing with when they are on the floor is another.
8-3 is embarrassing, but 2-8 is all good, patience yadayada.
Udonis Haslem became the Miami Heat's all-time leading rebounder tonight. Haslem is the only likeable player on the Heat, IMO, so I'm happy for him.
