View Full Version : Kings vs. Sonics (11/11)

CWebb firing and missing from the perimeter. Allen with a 4-point play, now up 12 - 6.
CWebb misses a shot in the paint...if it's not going, stop shooting and let someone else shoot the basketball.
Timeout Kings...14-6 Sonics.

many were praising him too much last night. That has a wierd way to backfire. He has trouble with back to backs because the knee just can not handle it. I hope he realizes it before the game gets out of control.

I hate ESPN double headers. I wish all games were on League Pass. I paid for the stupid thing I might as well watch all the games. Sorry just venting. We are always on the short end of the stick since West conference games start later.

Kings 4 of 20 to start the game. What happened to the offensive movement from last night?

If you're 1 for 8, let someone else shoot the basketball, CWebb (although it's not as if anyone else has a hot hand).

Peja finally hits a three (thank goodness the Kings didn't forget how to make a basket), but Vlad R. answers with a three...

if Peja is the only main scorer on the floor, why aren't they letting the offense go through him?
what's the point of having him on the floor, if he doesn't even get to touch the ball.
if Peja is the only main scorer on the floor, why aren't they letting the offense go through him?
What the heck good is a scorer who can't even buy a bucket? No one is hitting their shots were a damn.

Oh, we could still do it. Effort in the late second quarter was excellent. Just can not seem to get any flow whatsoever, but all it would take would be about 3 or 4 shots to fall and we'd be right there.

Immensely frustrating game. We've had chance after chance to close it and somebody always ****s up just in time to kill our momentum. Most recent two = Doug with the idiotic unnecessary behind the back pass, and Peja with the bizarre double clutch turnover after missing the wide open three. Just can't make the key play.
Just when we made somewhat of a roll, we just decide to not run an offensive play and just stand around and see what happens.

Really? You do realize that Fortson might be the single best rebounder in the entire league right? he's a complete beast. All he normally does. But that he does as well as anyone.
I think Miller should teach Fortson a lesson, even if he picks up a technical doing it.

This would be understandable if being out jumped was the reason... but he seems to not be boxing out or puting a body on anyone when the shot goes up. And it is not only Webber, this could be said for all of the King's Bigs

Notes about this game:
1) Kings fans in the crowd are probably Serbian, so that would explain occasional screams when the Kings scored buckets (in particular Pedja)
2) Refs were favoring Kings tonight
3) Barnes is garbage, and let me repeat that: G A R B A G E
4) Pedja is lost in space
5) Kings offensive flow has completely disappeared (Vlade, anyone?) and we're in for a dire loooong season if the Kings get outrebounded by Sonics by 20 and make Danny Fortson look like "the best rebounder in the league". Sad.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot the most important:

I was thinking the same. I have a feeling that a lot of teams will be fired up against the Kings this year because they think this is a pretty good chance for some brutal revenge on them. I tell you, this season is a success if the Kings make the playoffs.
What? He is going to be here for the whole 2 years ?
I want my Vlade back.
This is the first game I've watched the Kings play this year... It looks like the offense has no flow, there is no passing, just selfishness. I remember the day when Christie, Bibby and Peja were always slashing and getting easy layups. Now all I see are forced fadaways. What happened to our fabled "princeton" offense?
Petrie's great decision to sign ostertag over Vlade is already paying dividends...

You are fast on the way to becoming my LEAST favorite Lakers fan! (kidding!!):D
You would be happy to know (if you were watching ESPN) that late in the 4th they showed a shot of him on the sideline grinning like a freakin' jack-o-lantern and I thought "who is that ugly *** MF?"...moments later he entered the game to huge applause and I realized who he was...
And (except for my extreme anger because of his laughter) he's still not THAT ugly! :o
Oh...back to your question (as if you didn't already know the answer). 2 points, 1 block in 5 garbage minutes.
KK!

We've always been soft phsyically -- look out on the floor and its almost exactly the same team it has always been.
Problem is mental, not physical.

Notes about this game:
2) Refs were favoring Kings tonight
3) Barnes is garbage, and let me repeat that: G A R B A G E 2) No
3)He had a bad game only. I give him the benegit of the doubt because he his from Sacto.

2) No
3)He had a bad game only. I give him the benegit of the doubt because he his from Sacto.2) Yes. Lots of questionable foul calls on Sonics (especially on Evans) and I don't think I've ever seen moving pick called two offenses in a row.
3) I give him benefit of doubt because he's trying hard. His talent level is worse than Buford's.
