This was the league with C Diddy, Rockmeister, JSin, Evil Domination, bigdog (the commish), and others. You can't access the league page any longer. Hopefully the bigdog kept a list of who participated and who didn't...

I'd be interested in participating...i havent done this before, though i have some experience with a soccer version over here.

(You have a certain budget, acquire players who earn fantasy points thoughout the season and the person with the highest aggregate wins...)

However, my knowledge of NFL is even smaller than that of my NBA awareness. (if i say that i've heard of a bloke named Manning who can chuck the ball to his buddy who is hareing down the pitch, i think that gives you some appreciation of my 'skill' level).

So i wouldnt want to take a place in the league which was wanted by a Kings fan who was really into NFL. But if there is a spare place going then please count me in....

Returning players are going to get first priority... It's only fair. I haven't heard from big dog yet, but he and I coordinated this league last year and it worked okay...

This is a live draft league, with no consideration about salaries.

I'm trying to find the list of people who participated last year. If any of you have the list for the bigdog league, please post it...

Hopefully, big dog will still have the info. In the meantime, newcomers can continue to sign up - we'll figure out how to assign the open spots later.

We will be limiting teams as the league just gets too watered down if you have too many in it.

Don't know yet. Have to see how many returning players we have first...

JSin usually runs the "official" Kingsfans fantasy football league, so we'll have to wait and see if he checks in.

bigdog and I did the bigdog league last year...

Considering the amount of interest, we might just start another one.

Like I said, we'll wait and see what happens. I'm not sure simply being online at the right time is the best way to pick...as I said above, we'll figure out what to do with any vacancies, should they exist, after the regulars have checked back in.

Spaces permitting, my team name will be : 'Fourth & Long'.

I know its a lttle early to start making requests but......if i were to be included, then the timing of when you conducted the live draft would need to take my time zone into consideration if you held it during the week. (i have to leave for work at about 6am London time, that's 10pm Sactime). At the weekend the time wouldnt matter.

I just mention this as its a potential reason why i wouldnt be able to join in.

Would i be right in thinking that the mechanics of the draft would be that we are each given a team number and then each team to posts one pick in sequence until everyone has a 15 man roster and obviously you cant pick a player that someone else has already chosen...?

Londonking - We'll definitely have the draft on a weekend, and I'll make sure to take everyone's situations into consideration as much as possible.

The draft is conducted via Yahoo, which makes it really easy. You're on the clock with them, you pick in turn, and the whole thing goes by pretty quickly and painlessly.

I think we are missing Bricklayer from that list, VF21.

Londonking, what I would recommend is once the league is opened, set up some lengthy pre-rankings. That way if you miss the draft, the draft system will still pick players for you based on your choices. Its not as good as actually being there, but its better than taking Yahoo's rankings as default.

I think there might be some confusion, since a number of us participated in both leagues. I don't think Bricklayer was in this one...

We'll see what happens when JSin starts the sign-ups for the other league. I know (at least I think I know) he's kept a list of participants.

I'll give it a shot, as long as "remaining active" is not too terribly time-consuming.

How many teams is there room for? 30-ish like the real NFL? 16 like the playoffs?

As for a team name... hmm... how about "Aerial Doom Cog Taskforce Lambda"?

Nah... strike that. We're the "Stat Chasers." Definitely Stat Chasers.

The yahoo! leagues usually have 10-12 teams and 4-6 for the playoffs.

If I remember correctly, we had 12 teams last year. Any more than that and it gets to be too watered down...

If people keep signing up, we'll simply add an additional league. We're nothing if not accomodating here at Kingsfans.com.

all im thinking is if we have several leagues we wont be able to "crown a kingsfans champion"....lol

its not like it matters that much, esp cuz the only way to do it would be if we had 14, 15, 16 as the playoffs and had the two champs fromt he two leagues just have a 17th week and see who had more points

eh, im just too obsessed with a winner, cuz im competetive...it would be too much work just for me, so dont worry about it
