Tonight, of course, our Kings meet the Lakers. AND the Arco crowd will get a chance to welcome Vlade back. I'm thinking it will be a very long, enthusiastic ovation for him.
Tonight's PBP, as always, is brought to you because of the generosity and dedication of our board owner, Jeremy.
I have my beverage at hand; my snacks are within reach. THE purple slippers are on my feet; I'm wearing my Christie jersey; all my totems are in their proper alignment.
I'll be watching the game via TNT, so hopefully this stupid Pistons-Cavs game will be over before too much longer.
Now, get ready. They may not be THE rivals any longer, but they're still the Lakers!

I think TNT will probably show it...if they can ever get away from Magic, Kenny, Barkley and what's-his-name.
Magic "Vlade is not the same. Back is hurting. He's out of shape. He's just come back and he's not the same. The Lakers need him. They need him if they're going to make the playoffs."
Barkley - "Vlade is an old guy, bodywise and age wise. He's played for his country AND he's played in the NBA." Barkley doesn't think he'll ever get back into shape. He says - and I reluctantly agree - that Vlade's body just doesn't have that much left.
Okay, commercial and - I hope - ARCO after that. If they DON'T show the ovation for Vlade I will be very upset.

My personal opinion is that what has cost us this game is taking the quick shot. Every time they've moved the ball around they've scored. On the other hand, the pull-up jumper as soon as someone crosses the line has been a total failure. In addition, not moving the ball is killing us. We had a great assist to FG ratio in the first quarter. I do not what happened, but it appears as though they've forgotten how to do that. I have to put blame on Webber and Bobby primarily...
(Those are just my impressions, BTW, and may or may not be accurate.)
