OK so here's the deal!

I have managed to procure an invitation to Google's Gmail service and I would like to use it to start a sort of a chain of invites on this forum. If you are interested in having a Gmail account, PM me. I only have one invitation at this time and the only condition upon which I will give it is that you must promise to pass on all invitations that you are granted to other people from this site who promise that they will in turn do the same. In this way, I hope that everyone on KF.com can have a Gmail account of their own!

I'm pretty darn sure it's completely random. That wasn't my invite that i posted the link of though, that's a link that was posted on another internet forum which is why I said "hurry!" because I didn't want anyone to take it.

OK, this is strange. I can't access it (GMail) now. It says my browsers cookie functionality is turned off (false) It was set to Medium security, but even changing it to except ALL cookies made no difference. I uninstalled ZoneAlarm, even though I wasn't using it to block cookies. No difference. It was working fine last night, computer was on (as usual)

Any ideas/suggestions?

As far as I know, it's very random as to who and when invites are distributed. I should be able to cross everyone's name off the list by tomorrow, so if you haven't gotten your invite yet, it'll probably be on the way! (I HOPE!:))

By the end of about a week everyone on kingsfans that wants a gmail invite will have one, if everyone pitches in.

O and invites are given at random, just to let you know, but in your account there will either be a bar near the top that says you have 6 invites or a box on the left bottom side that says it.

OK, as the founder and unofficial moderator of this thread, I pose the following question:

Is there anyone else on Kingsfans.com that would still like a Gmail invitation? There seem to be plenty of invitations to go around if someone is interested. My one premise when I founded this thread was that all recipients must pass on their invites to other KF members, but if no one else is interested I will release them of this duty. This message will self destruct in 24 hours!

Have you been using the email address? I think they only give you invites after you actually use the service for yourself.

I haven't been using mine that much. Sent 4-5 emails back and forth to my other emails to test how it works and try the search. It took a while to get the invites.

I'm wondering if it has to do with how many "generations" out you are. If everyone's giving out several invites, then each circle outward gets exponentially bigger. Google may be controlling the growth rate by releasing invites out to X number of links in the chain.
